Black J12
The Chanel J12 will always be towards the top of my WANT IT NOW list. Ideally I would like the ones dripping in diamonds but at $10,000+, the most I can get away with is the version with diamond markers . I've previously blogged about the white J12 but since I already have a white Omega, I think maybe I should go for a black J12 with diamond markers (33mm). It could be my new everyday watch since it wouldn't be as big or eye-catching as the Omega :)

I Wonder How It Feels...
A few days ago DZ showed me a diamond ring from Tiffany's worth $6million. This led into a conversation about how it feels to have a mansion on your finger. Throw in the $100,000 croc with diamond hard wear Birkin and you'll have a SWEET car dangling from your arms. To top it off, put on some nice shoes and you'll be walking on a few months rent. All this leads to the question...how does it feel to be bouncing around with thousands to millions of dollars on you??? I can't even begin to imagine but if you can afford it, more power to you.
*Note: People like to make it their business how others spend money. Just because a person shops a lot or spends a lot of money on one thing, doesn't mean they're completely oblivious to the "real world". For all you know, they donate just as much to charity or put in hours upon hours of volunteer work. How they choose to spend the money is up to them and them alone because the money is theirs to spend. A lot of people think they're being down to earth when they criticize others for shopping a lot. No, not really. You're just being self-righteous. Of course, if you make your money illegally or you spend more than what you have, thats another story reserved for another rant :)
Givenchy Cut-outs Part II
I gushed about Givenchy cut-outs back in March and almost 2 months later, I'm still obsessed.
Not crazy about the strap over the toes but the ankle straps...FIERCE. Yours for $1600 :)
Perhaps a little too strappy but they make me want to weep. A bargain at $975. Sarcasm is hard to convey via blog but trust that I'm being sarcastic when I call this a bargain. Actually, considering that it is 40% cheaper than the shoe above, I guess you can call it a bargain...a bargain in the world of Givenchy cut-outs.
Okay, these win. Its like the best of both worlds...a little bit of strappiness with the right amount of fierce ankle action. I would if I could but I'm yet be worthy of having 1 months rent on my feet.

Oh, Hermes!
I've been eying the Hermes Collier de Chien belt for awhile now and decided to do some research today to figure out how much damage it would be to my bank account. After browsing for a few minutes, it came to my attention that the damage would be too much. $1500 for a belt. Yea, I dont think thats going to fly anytime soon...
So then I thought...maybe the bracelet cuff?? Uh, yea...maybe not. At $1000, I might as well just pay the extra $500 and get a whole belt!

Christmas In April
Between Monday and today, I've received four packages in the mail. The mail guy at work is ready to kill me. Heh :) I really should stop ordering stuff online but its just too easy!! Especially when you sit in front of a computer for 40 hours a week (bleh). Anyhow, sharing my newest purchases:
Taking advantage of Saks F&F:
Adding some patent to my Louboutin collection:
Ron Rons in dark purple or burgundy...I can't decide what it is...I should probably go look it up on the CL library...whatever the case, YAY FOR COLORED PATENT LEATHER LOUBS!!!!
Adding some booties to my Louboutin collection:
CL Trotinettes. I blogged about these when they first came out (I tried to link the post but I'm having a hard time finding it...) and now they're mine, all mine!!
*Note: The box at the very bottom is the new Zagliani purse I blogged/gushed about on Monday.
**I think people at work are beginning to label me as "the shoe girl"...if only they could see my closet...lol :P Speaking of my closet, its reached its capacity. Its a tiny walk-in closet that no longer has any floor space for me to walk into because its filled with boxes of shoes and purses. Good thing I'm moving soon...my new closet is more than twice as big...look for a massive moving post around the beginning of May!

Hah..Cute
Better Late Than Never
The Valentino Maison has been around for awhile now and I never really took notice until today. Why? I'm not really sure. Probably cus I'm not a big fan of Valentino bags. In any case, it finally hit me today...the Maison is actually pretty sweet. I'm loving the pleats and the studs (enough for it to be fun but not so much that its tacky). And as always, I like the fact that it can be worn both on the shoulders and on the arms. At first, I was really into Nicky Hilton's purple leather but now I'm drooling over Kim's teal suede...Hilary also has a purple suede one thats equally mouth-watering...

Ostrich, Check! Python, Check! Croc, Missing.
Okay, I have my next splurge purse. Since I already have ostrich and python purses, I clearly need some croc :) The problem is the steep price tag. Its ridiculous how many $30,000 and up croc purses there are. $7,000 is the norm and anything below that is a good deal. Croc is legal in California for only a few more months. By 2010, it will be banned just like its friend python (please dont take ostrich away from me...). This means I should look into getting one before the ban or face going through the trouble of getting another outlawed bag into my closet. So far, seems like I'll go with a Nancy Gonzalez purse since hers are reasonably priced...as in under $5000.
Totally Obsessed With...
PATENT LEATHER!!! I'm not exactly sure how this started but I'm officially obsessed with the idea of collecting as many shoes (specifically Loubs) and purses (specifically Chanel flaps) in patent leather as my bank account will allow. I'm not so interested in the blacks, whites, or nudes...I want the COLORS!!! Yuuuuum. I think its because patent leather pops out at you so much more than regular leather or suede.
I already own a few pairs of patent Loubs but I'm looking to expand...especially dark red and gray.
My Chanel flap count is currently 3 but none of them are patent :( Hopefully that'll change in a few months...

I've Died And Gone To Purse Heaven (By Way Of Purse Hell)
Two months ago, almost to the day, DZ showed me an Italian website and out of boredom, I clicked through the designers index. I was about to close out when I spotted Zagliani. Just for the sake of looking, I clicked and immediately fell in love with a python top handle. I checked out the price and almost fainted when I realized how much cheaper it was than the selling prices on the Saks website. It was too good to pass up and you all know I dont pass up on good deals. I put in my order and did my happy dance. From that moment on, I went through about two months of hell waiting for this purse to get to me.
1. My credit card declined the purchase the first time around. Good to know that they're looking out for me but in this instance, it was just annoying. I had to call and let them know that foreign spends were okay, go back to the website and re-place my order. I had to do all this in record time cus God forbid someone else snatches up my purse while I'm clearing things up with my cc company! And yes, there was only ONE available cus as soon as my order was finalized, my pretty purse was immediately taken off of the website (ahem, BNY...take note...this is how websites should operate!!).
2. The day after my order is placed, I get an email from the website basically informing me that they need to charge me weeks in advance because they need to obtain a permit for the python skin before they can actually ship it overseas...and btw, we can't ship this to you because you live in California. I really dont mind them charging me before they ship but what in God's name am I suppose to do about the shipping address??!??! I had a mini-freak out session at 8am that morning. I tried to think of all the ways to get around the python ban and when I realized there probably was no feasible loopholes, I tried to think of all the people I knew who lived outside of California. Finally my hs friend, JL, came to my rescue. He goes to law school in DC and offered to receive the package for me. MY HERO!!!!
3. For the next month and a half I tried my best to not think about the purse. I figured I would end up in the nut house if I thought about it everyday.
4. Around mid-March I get a update from the website with a tracking number. YES!!! I check the number and no information is available. I check back again over the next few days and still no information available. I email them asking them for a new number. I get emails back in Italian. Finally someone writes back and explains that the tracking number given was a default of the system. In order to obtain the permit, they had to pretend to ship the package. Got excited for nothing, thanks.
5. My purse finally leaves Italy beginning of April. It goes through Europe fine and gets to New Jersey in record time. Then it just stops. It sat in a office in New Jersey for a week. Customs wanted to know what JL is going to name his first-born son before they can ship the purse to him. No but seriously, they needed a lot of information from him (including a written statement explaining why his receiving address was different from his home address). Hes a busy law school student who was doing his friend a favor. I felt TERRIBLE. I hate asking for favors, especially when the favor turns out to be 10000 times more complicated than previously expected.
6. The purse finally clears customs and gets delivered to JL. It sits for another week at his school.
7. The purse is finally shipped out to me last Thursday. I get the tracking number and I check it. I see that it has no destination information so I call FedEx. They somehow have the wrong address. WTF. I correct the address and anxiously wait...maybe this purse and I just aren't meant to be cus I've had one helluva time trying to get my hands on it!!
Since ordering this purse, I've gone through extreme moments of excitement, felt intense adrenaline rushes, and have had to suffer through extreme lows. I've been so anxious about this purse getting to me, I've even had a loss of appetite. Its absolutely ridiculous what I'm willing to go through for the sake of my closet. In the end, was it worth it? HELL TO THE YEA. I was literally shaking when I got the package today at work. I think I might've had a mini heart attack at my cubicle. Anyhow, heres what all this fuss is/was over:
The pretty packaging:
My new Zagliani python top handle:
I've had nightmares in the past weeks about opening this package. In my dreams, the purse is ugly (I think at one point it was neon...) and the python scales are falling off. I'm happy to report that when I actually took the purse out of the dust-bag, it took my breath away (in a good way). Needless to say, pictures dont do this purse justice...especially if the pictures are taken with my crappy camera...
The clasp (my least favorite feature of the bag...it seriously took me 5 mins to figure out how to open it and then another 10 trying to close it...):
The handle:
The scales:
The suede and python lined interior:
The inside zipper:
My cats enjoying the packaging:
I think I might have to buy a box for Libby. She fell in love with this one and was pissed off when I made her get out...
I think a lot of times Olivia does things just to be like Libby. She wasn't all that interested but I think she got into the box just to see what the big deal was :P
My Zagliani saga is finally over. Thank GOD. Now I can sleep and eat and breath in peace. Probably one of the most worrisome shopping experiences of my life but again, hella worth it cus I saved around $1000 (not sure about the exact number cus this style isn't on the Saks site) :)

I Wish...
I could afford outfits straight off the runways :( What I wouldn't give to be in regular attendance at shows, not for the glitz and glamour but because that was how I shopped. Sigh. If that were true, then this Gucci dress would be sitting in my closet, waiting to be worn by ME (hrrm...I guess I should also wish for mile-long legs to go with the dress...).

Whats The Point Of Buying Purses If...
You're just going to make your husband or bf carry it for you???!?!??? Do the men in your lives a favor and leave the purse-carrying to the experts!! I understand how some men think its "sweet" if they carry the purse for the girl but seriously...if you can buy it, you can carry it. Of course, there are times when my hands are full and I ask the nearest person next to me to hold onto my purse for a sec but the guy in this pic was just a wee bit too happy to be skipping around SCP with the purple Gucci on his arm...

What Next?
Long time no blog! I didn't even realize that its been over a week since my last post until today! I've been busy running around taking care of Olivia, who unfortunately went into heat on Wednesday :( Not pleasant but she had her surgery today and hopefully she'll have a speedy recovery and I can pretend this week never happened. Besides watching my little baby run around with her butt in the air, howling at the top of her lungs, I've also been nervously waiting for my Italian splurge to clear customs and thankfully, it looks like it might get delivered to my friend some time next week. That means I probably wont get it until the week after but at least I know its not getting sent back to Italy! In the meantime, I'm already thinking about what to get next. Depending on how much monetary damage I do from now until my bday, I'm thinking I can squeeze another exotic out of my parents but we all know that its unrealistic to think that there will be no purse purchases in between my Italian splurge and my bday splurge :P So anyhow, here are some bags that in are currently in the running:
Proenza Schouler satchel. I like the fact that it works both on the shoulders and if you carry it by its short handles. Sorta looks like a ultra-chic school bag (for about 30 times as much as your old backpack from high school).
Chloe Sally shoulder bag. Sometimes (er, most of the time) all you need is leather in a gorgeous color and you're done. No need for extra zippers or locks or whatnot. Just you and the leather. In Sally's case, the delicate gold chain adds a little something extra but is not over-done. PS: I love purple with gold.
Gucci Hysteria. It has been literally years since I've gotten anything from Gucci so I feel a little weird actually considering a Gucci purse but I've been eying the Hysteria for awhile now so what the heck, perhaps I'll just go ahead and get it. Of course, I wouldn't go near the monogrammed version but the simple black leather version is calling to me.
This is what I have so far, I'll update this list as more potentials come to my attention.
HAPPY EASTER AND PLEASE PRAY THAT OLIVIA WILL HAVE A SPEEDY RECOVERY :)
**UPDATES: First of all...Olivia is doing just fine. She was a little out of it last night but she doesn't seem to be in any pain. Secondly...I went to SCP today and tried on Sally and the Hysteria. Right now, Sally is in the lead.

I Love Surprises
If you've paid attention to this blog then you'll know that I have a thing for Lanvin shoe boxes. Of course I wouldn't just buy Lanvin shoes for the box but I get extra joy from my Lanvin purchases because of the box. Yea, I'm a little weird. Anyhow, a few weeks ago I saw some Lanvin pumps on sale. The pumps were described as "gray snake skin". I wasn't drawn to the shoes because they were snake skin, I was drawn to the shoes because of the shape of the heel and the color. In any case, they arrived today and when I checked the description on the actual box, I was completely shocked to find out that they're 100% python. I was so caught off guard I had to google these shoes to confirm that they were indeed 100% python. I'm not sure how I was able to get these shoes since python is illegal in California and many retailers refuse to ship python to California customers but hell, I'm not complaing! I cannot believe I just scored another sweet deal on python. My CL python pumps were 60% off and now 67% off on these Lanvins!!!! I must have done something right cus the shopping gods seriously love me :)
Top Shop
I'm sure ya'll know by now that Top Shop opens tomorrow in NYC and that its going to be complete mayhem. Too bad I'm all the way in LA cus I'm usually a great shopper under stressful environments :P Anyhow...I LOVE this dress that Kate Moss is wearing from her Spring collection. Fun and flirty but also dressy enough for nights out. Have fun shopping and if you see anything cute, grab one for me!!!!!
I Bought 10 Pairs Of Shoes In The Past Month And Yet I Still Want More(???!)
I overdid it with the shopping this past month. I think I broke my record of 11 pairs of shoes in one sale season by buying 10 pairs of shoes in one month. When I get packages at work now, most people just shake their heads. Well they dont have to shake much longer (I'm waiting on my last 2 packages) cus I'm practicing self-control. Buuuuuuut...if I hadn't splurged and indulged so much, I would definitely consider these:
These Gucci platforms are sorta like the new Trib Toos. I love me some high platforms but the ankle straps take the cake when it comes to these killer heels.
These Louboutin booties are so eye-catching and definitely fashion-forward. I would probably get them in black patent but I dont really have $1200 to spend on shoes so I'll just blog and dream about them...
