Its Been Awhile Since...

My last shoe post!! 2 weeks is a lifetime when you're addicted. Anyhow, here are my newest additions:

CL Blue+Gold Python Fontanetes:

I've actually been looking high and low for a pair of black+silver Fontanetes but no luck. I did get pretty lucky with these though...probably around 50% of original price :) It took awhile for me to warm up to colored pythons but these I adore!!

CL Ron Rons in Nude Metal Patent:

I added bone patent pumps to my CL wish list a few weeks ago...these babies are like the perfect mix of bone and nude patent. The nude comes out more when you see these in person...sorta like a light shade of nude with a pearl sheen over it. The metal patents are new to CL this season and no surprise, catching on extremely well/fast with fans. The sizing this season is also more "user-friendly"...depending on how you look at it. CL is infamous for fitting small and narrow. This season, the sizes fit more like normal sizing BUT it also means rethinking your orders. The best thing to do is to just go in and try on things in person but if you can't, I would suggest sizing 1/2 size down.

HURRY!

Summer sale season is juuuuuuust about finished. If you hurry, you still have time to scavenge for some good deals. I spent a good two hours today roaming the sales online and came out a winner :) Everything was under $200 - the most expensive was $150 and the cheapest was $80ish. Of course, the cream of the crop are all gone or only have yucky (yucky as in not my size) sizes left but there are still some decent pieces available. Of course, unless you're a 10, you wont find any shoes available and you can forget about handbags BUT this is the best excuse to focus on new clothes!! I can't remember everything I bought but it was the usual - lots and lots of dresses plus one cropped blazer. I hope I dont get yelled at when all the packages start rolling in at home...

BTW/Warning/Note to self: even if the prices are ridiculously cheap, be wary of how much you buy...espeically online since its just too darn easy to click "Add to bag". I just did a rough estimate of my total spendings (including my finds at BNY this weekend) and um, lets just say it was a lot more than I expected. Whoops.

The Whimsical Side of Chloe

If I was to pick one word to describe Chloe, "sturdy" would be it. From the leather to the hardware to the designs...everything has always veered towards the sturdy side. Think of all the Chloe boots that saturate the shoe department every F/W season or the heavy ass lock on the Paddington - all very sturdy. Perhaps this is why I fell in love with the Sally when it first came out. Finally something from Chloe that had a bit of femininity to it. Then today, I came across the F/W 09 runway shoes pictured above. Totally doesn't fit in with my closet but its so whimsical it makes me want to sigh just looking at it. The little pom-pom ball in the front might be a bit much but I think it would actually translate well with a pair of jeans and the ruffles in the back will add some charm to your look when paired with a nice dress.

Annoyed

Every good thing has a limit. When you pass that limit, you've overdone it and the good think becomes an annoying thing. Here are two examples (in my humble opinion):

Rhianna:

Everyone loves Rhianna and I'm no different. However, I do think shes taken the whole "I'm a fashion-forward, edgy, warrior princess" look a bit too far. Theres a difference between being fierce and becoming a gimmick. I think Rhianna's style has crossed over into the gimmick arena.

The Twilight Cast - Kristen Stewart and Rob P:

Okay, we get it...you guys are reluctant celebrities. Acting is your craft and you can't figure out what the big deal is. But seriously, that doesn't mean you have to ALWAYS look like you just woke up, crawled out of bed, and hopped onto the red carpet. A little effort and grace on your part would do everyone some good.

The Sartorialist

You cannot be a fashion blogger and not pay your respects to the one and only, Scott Schuman aka The Sartorialist. We all owe the concept of "outfit posts" to Scott. Among one of the most respected bloggers ever to walk this earth, The Sartorialist is coming out with a book version of his famed blog. I know it might seem pointless to spend money on something thats available for free online but I'm one of those people who think books are infinitely more valuable than anything electronic (needless to say, I'm not a big fan of Kindle)...plus, you get to support a fellow blogger :) The book will be available August 12, 2009 and most places are now accepting pre-orders.

During all the fashion weeks I am approached by many photographers, Scott is the only one who can ask me to cross the street for better light and I do it! I love his portraits.

I'm So Happy I Could I Cry!

It has been almost TWO years since I've liked anything from Lanvin. The Lanvin Kansas still remains as one of my biggest shopping regrets. I still dont understand why Lanvin decided to phase it out since they've had some serious issues with their handbags ever since. You can imagine my surprise/excitment when I spotted this pretty new Lanvin purse on NAP :) My Lanvin shopping prayers have finally been answered. FINALLY, a purse to crave :D The color is gorgeous and all of your standard Lanvin motifs are present. Sigh, I had been planning on a huge shoe splurge but now I'm re-thinking my shopping plan. If I drop the shoes, I could get this and the Chanel Maxi. I hate it when shopping comes down to making tough decisions between equally mouth-watering items. Another reason why I must marry rich..HAH.

PS: The LV belt I've been going on and on about is now available! Its $760 big ones...I'm still debating on whether or not I should take the plunge.

Some Updates And Of Course, More Shoes :)

First things first, some updates. Blogging has been slow:
1. I've been at my job for about 3 years and these past few months have been by far, the busiest. I'm usually pretty good about squeezing in browsing/blogging time at work but lately there just isn't enough hours in the day.
2. I've been studying/writing/reading a lot more. I realized that a lot of my time was wasted on TV or the computer and I've been trying to be more productive during my non-working hours.
3. I'm trying to follow my Realistic Shopping List which translates into less splurging. Also, I feel like besides the things that I've already blogged about, there hasn't been too much stuff out there thats really TDF. I suppose thats good for my wallet but bad for my blog.
4. Wednesday I left work early because I wasn't feeling well. What started off as exhaustion turned into me on my deathbed with a fever that came and went for 48-hours. The fever finally went away today but my throat still hurts, I'm still coughing, and I still can't breath through my nose. I talked to a few of my friends on the phone yesterday and I think I scared all of them "Did you just wake up? Whoa, you sound terrible...you seriously sound REALLY sick. Are you okay??!" One of them even asked if I had the swine flu. HAHA. I'll probably be back to normal in a few days but I have a lot of work and studying to catch up on.

And now, some fun stuff. I try to limit my shoe posts but like I said earlier, nothing out there is really doing it for me. Cept shoes that is. I've managed to add more to my Shoe Habit Shopping List:

CL Roccia Lizard MCs: It took a lot of will power for me not to run out to SCP today to get these but since it took so long for me to prioritize my Realistic Shopping List, I'm really trying to be good about following it. I've also added lizard VPs to my list but I think I would rather get these first :)

Fendi MJs: I know these look stupid chunky but I saw Sea of Shoes modeling these and they're gorgeous. I'm looking at the pics right now and they're literally making my mouth water.

Welcome To The Family!

I lasted almost a month between my Very Galaxy purchase and my two new Louboutins...pretty good, right??

Anthracite suede Rolandos. These are just a shade lighter than black and pretty comfy because of the suede...well, as comfy as Rolandos will ever be.

Patent rouge Biancas!!!!!!!!!! I can officially check these off of my "Realistic Shopping List". The color is delicious and I'm just itching to wear these out.

My Shopping List...Try Not To Laugh...

Whenever I have a long laundry list of important things to do, I tend to preoccupy myself with ridiculous activities like obsessively updating/editing my shopping list. I thought I'd share what I've been hard at work over:

Part I: The Realistic Shopping List:

A. CL Biancas in rouge patent:

The Biancas look chunky in pictures but are seriously GORGEOUS in real life. Since my Alti 160s are close to impossible to walk in, these would be a great replacement for sky-high Louboutin pumps. Note: The Miss Clichy are also a great alternative to the Alti pumps but I find them to be almost too similar.

B. Chanel Maxi:

I've already blogged about this but I thought I'd still include it in this post. I'm patiently waiting for the Fall 09 colors to trickle into stores...I want either blue or red :)

C. Clothes:

I've been buying so many shoes lately, I've neglected the rest of my closet. I should focus on buying more casual dresses, tops, and maybe some skinny jeans. A nice leather jacket wouldn't hurt either.

D. A Chanel wallet:

My BV wallet is fine but I just feel like I need a Chanel wallet to complete my collection.

E. A new belt:

I can't stop thinking about Fergies LV belt...

Part II: Indulging In My Shoe Habit Shopping List:

A. CL Feticha and/or Lady Lynch in black and/or gray patent:

I have many, many pairs of pumps so I dont really need another pair but Louboutin is a genius...every season, he slightly changes classic styles and gives them alluring new names or he offers classic styles in mouth-watering new colors. The end result? Suckers like me lusting after every "new" piece that comes out. If these two styles dont work, I might revert back to Decolletes or Rolandos...lets just say I really want black and gray patent pumps.

B. CL Decocolico:

If these come in anthracite, rouge, or peacock patent leather, I'll immediately move them up to the "Realistic Shopping List".

C. CL Alta Iowa in black patent:

What can I say? I love patent leather and I love MJs!

D. CL VPs in anthracite patent, nude with burgundy tip, and acid blue python:

All three color choices will probably be hard to find (I think the anthracite patent might be a Europe-only thing...) but theres no harm in listing them out :)

E. CL Lady Lynch wedges in black patent leather:

Ultra-high wedges in patent leather? Yea, kinda hot...

F. CL Mamanouck:

These are SO me!!! Buuuuut I'll probably wait for the sales.

G. CL Tashaf in blue patent:

A bit funky for my tastes but the color is stunning and Rhianna had the black ones on and they were pretty sweet. Then again, its Rhianna.

H. Gucci Pixies in purple suede with zipper detail:

These are just begging to be tried on...

Part III: If Only I Lived In Paris List:

A. CL Ron Rons and So Private in ostrich (I think the color is called denim??):

CL SCP has the So Privates in nude and black ostrich but those are nothing compared to these beauties :(

Part IV: I Really Shouldn't Get These List:

A. CL Lace Hyper Prives:

The price tag is a bit much and I'm not sure how clean I would be able to keep these but I tried them on a few weeks ago and they are amazing. The lace Ron Rons are tempting too :P

B. CL Anthracite Glitter VPs:

I already have the glitter NPs so I dont really need the glitter VPs but they're so pretty :(

C. CL Anthracite Goa So Privates:

I think these would be too similar to my glitter NPs but I love the crackled metallic look.

D. CL Lilac Suede Ron Rons:

I have the lilac suede NPs and I have two pairs of Ron Rons...yea, I REALLY dont need these buut they would fit in perfectly with my collection!

Okay, thats all I've got for now. I realize my list ends up being more like a CL catalog but just keep in mind that my priorities are with the items listed in Part I!

Note: Boutique CL pics from TPF :)
