GST??

I'm not sure whats wrong with me. Chanel Cruise 2010 has me going crazy. Chanel S/S 2010 is also pretty ridiculous (purple, anyone??). In any case, three of my Chanel purses are non-flaps. They were the first three Chanels I bought. Since then, I've only purchased Classic flaps and Reissues. Not that I dont like my other three purses but they're somewhat dated. Especially my Cambon tote. I had vowed to stick with flaps since they end up being the better investment but for some reason, I just got the urge to get a GST...

I'm not exactly sure why I'm all of a sudden loving the GST. The good news: while not at the same level as a Classic flap or Reissue, the GST is a Chanel staple that is available every season so I dont have to worry about it being dated. Oh yea, its also cheaper so yay for saving money. I just hope I dont end up collecting GSTs AND flaps cus that wouldn't be so cute for my bank account...

haha... first, I am glad you got yourself a classic and pretty GST. Second, yes, I have not found myself INTO GST at all but I know the feeling of "suddenly, falling into something...deeply" !!

I always see people carry tote, GST (in this case)nicely, and it really turns my head over to think about the look of it. :)
OH, I was talking to my friend that I want to get a matte black distressed reissue in 226 (all of my Chanels are 227 or jumbo in classic line) and 226 size really is bitten into my skin these days. :)

Hi Rachel! You know I was just on the forum and I was reading up on the GST and it seems like a lot of ppl are complaining that the straps are falling off and that its uncomfortable under your arms. LOL...i'm so fickle...I think I"m already over my GST "phase".

226 is like a medium right? I was considering looking for the bleu roi in a medium since I thought maybe the brightness of the color would be too much for a jumbo or maxi. But then I always find smaller purses inconvenient so I think I'm just going to stick to the larger sizes :P I hope get your 226 though!!

Hey, Jenny:
oh..wow..that was quick of getting over w/ GST phase. :)

I think my friend is looking into that bleu caviar for 2010 cruise collection. You know, all of my bag is 227 or jumbo, I never considered buying 226 and think it is too small..but interesting thing is I have mini flap, Valentine's flap which is medium...and I don't think they are small!! (Maybe because they only come in that size in design?!!) That makes me think, hum....maybe 226 is not that small at all, great for day to night and it is a lot CHEAPER than 227. he...so this is my current mentality about buying 226 reissue. :)

So..i am waiting to see your change phase. haha.. ok, JK.

Guess what?? LOL...I finally wore my Navy Maxi this week and I'm thinking I dont need another blue. Even though this is darker than the Bleu Roi, it really is a nice shade of blue. Sooooo...I might be kinda over the blue roi :P

Hi purse addict,

I actually have the GST in cream caviar and its actually a hassle to wear sometimes because it is very bulky, so the straps fall of you shoulder quite often...It is even worse when it is heavy...Hope this helps :)

Hi Anonymous! Thanks for the tip! I did read abt the problems with the GST on TPF and it helped me get over my short-lived phase. I guess I will stick to the flaps but I'm a bit concerned abt the rumor that Chanel is planning on phasing out the hard caviar :(

No way :0! You mean theres are rumor they're going to get rid of the caviar skin?! Or just the caviar on the non-flap bags?

Its the rigid caviar skin. They want to phase that out and replace it with the softer caviar (not lambskin)
